Dear brothers and sisters in Christ
We were very privileged to recently receive a visit from a very dear friend and brother in Christ, Steve Evers from In Touch Mission in the USA. We have known our brother Steve for many years and it was a great joy to fellowship with him again and we could share about all that the Lord is doing and His goodness towards His children. He was accompanied by another dear brother, Kent, that we came to know during their visit.
As most of you will remember last year this time we reported extensively on a building project that the Lord miraculously made possible through a dear brother in Christ residing in another part of the Northern Cape. Our six daughters were cramped into one bedroom and some even had to sleep on the floor. Our kitchen was completely dilapidated with even the old ceiling falling in. We realised we need to add on to our existing home, but did not know how. We literally saw our dream come true when we witnessed how the Lord had met our needs and added a big kitchen and four bedrooms to our existing home.
However, the rooms still needed the final finishing touches. One room still had to get a ceiling, and the other rooms and kitchen needed cornicing and paint. We knew this had to be done, but did not have the time nor the finances to give attention to it. Again God in His grace miraculously took care of our needs. A missionary family with 9 children came to visit us for two weeks and took it on them to complete all the finishes that needed to be done! They did the ceiling and cornices, prepared walls to be painted, and the daughters together with our daughters did the painting of all the bedrooms and the kitchen.

Seed production
End of July we planted a half hectare of carrots for seed production. We are thankful that we could give work to about 20 women for two days. They were very happy for the opportunity and we hope in the near future to also plant lettuce seedlings and again be able to give them work.
After planting there were many carrots left. The workers took some for themselves and the rest we distributed in the nearby community.
Recently we had drug and alcohol-related unrest and public violence in our local nearby settlement. The police identified several young men as suspects and when they were brought to the local police station they admitted that they have problems and need help. They asked that I should come to the station. I had conversations with these young men and some of them afterwards came to me for spiritual counselling.
Please pray for these young men that they will also come to know Christ as their personal Saviour.
