Dear friends
Allow me this December 2021 to speak my heart about the current situation in the world, the attack on us as Christians and how we should respond to this.
In Daniel 7:23 - 25 (KJV) we find the following text: Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High….
I want to speak to you about the “wearing out of the saints”. It should be clear to every true child of God that we live in a time when the saints and the true church of Christ are under attack in a time that could be considered as one of the darkest periods in our history. You will notice that I speak about the “true church of Christ”. I want to qualify this statement by describing the true Church of Christ as those born again believers from every denomination on the earth. We experience different denominations succumbing to the spirit of the age, but the true born again believers, the saints, hold fast to the truth that were entrusted to them. Knowing well that they will not submit to to the spirit of the age, it is these saints that our enemy, satan, are trying to wear down. One of the most powerful weapons that he had used the past two years was Covid 19.
We are tossed to and throw from one extreme to the other. On the extreme one side we find those that proclaim the vaccine is the mark of the antichrist and that you lose your salvation by taking the vaccine. On the other extreme we find world governments bowing to pressure and increasingly make sounds about forced vaccinations and labelling those that are not vaccinated as terrorists and start penalizing the unvaccinated in some or other way. Add to this the closing down of the churches and the lockdowns at home together with a big increase in anti-God, anti-family and anti-life activism and it become easy to understand why the saints get “wearied down.”
Yet this Christmas we again hear the words of the angel of the Lord to the shepherds at Bethlehem: Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. Good tidings of great joy are brought to YOU and for unto YOU is born a Savior.
Dear friends, the Herods of our day want to have nothing to do with this baby child Jesus. Globalists, Money powers, big corporate business, big tech, world governments, anti God, anti-family and anti-life activists hate the baby Jesus and would like to see Him eradicated from the face of the earth. They scheme every possible means to kill the baby Jesus. Laws and regulations, even from the offices of the United Nations, to the latest big tech inventions like virtual reality all have only one goal in mind; destroy Jesus and all the values that Christianity stand for.
But you, wearied down saint, believer and follower of our Lord Jesus Christ, gain courage. Renew your strength, stand firm in your faith. You are on the side of the Savior, Christ the Lord. Take courage that kingdoms of this world come and go, but the Kingdom of our Savior Jesus Christ lasts forever. Kingdoms of this world will be ultimately destroyed, but the Kingdom of Christ will endure forever.
I want to encourage you with the words of the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 35:3-10 (NIV):
Strengthen the feeble hands,
steady the knees that give way;
say to those with fearful hearts,
“Be strong, do not fear;
your God will come,
he will come with vengeance;
with divine retribution
he will come to save you.”
Then will the eyes of the blind be opened
and the ears of the deaf unstopped.
Then will the lame leap like a deer,
and the mute tongue shout for joy.
Water will gush forth in the wilderness
and streams in the desert.
The burning sand will become a pool,
the thirsty ground bubbling springs.
In the haunts where jackals once lay,
grass and reeds and papyrus will grow.
And a highway will be there;
it will be called the Way of Holiness;
it will be for those who walk on that Way.
The unclean will not journey on it;
wicked fools will not go about on it.
No lion will be there,
nor any ravenous beast;
they will not be found there.
But only the redeemed will walk there,
and those the LORD has rescued will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;
everlasting joy will crown their heads.
Gladness and joy will overtake them,
and sorrow and sighing will flee away.
We wish you all a blessed and peaceful Christmas, a Christmas full of joy as we remember the Savior of the World that was born for us, the saints, the believers and followers of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Greetings from Onseepkans,
Gerhard, Elmane and Children
