Dear friends,

We hope you are all safe and well.  In Onseepkans summer is past and winter is approaching.

Update on the Bakery

Our new bakery equipment makes a big difference and helps us to deliver a better service to the community. We bake about 40 breads a day. We also daily distribute 10 of these breads via Project Joseph and the Our Daily Bread project to needy families and elderly people. This makes a big difference in these recipients’ lives.

01Freshly Baked Bread

Here are a few short testimonies:

“Heavenly Father, when I contemplate on all the things that I receive every day, I am humbly grateful. Other people are so good to me, but even their goodness does not come near to everything that You do for me every day. I am so thankful for that. Amen.”

“Thank you very much for the bread that we receive every day. May the Lord bless you. We also say thank you to the Lord Jesus. We are so thankful for the bread. It makes a huge difference to our day to day finances. We do not have to buy electricity, yeast and salt every day. We also do not have to bake bread in the hot sun on an open fire anymore. Again, thank you very very much.”

We also bake cookies, rusks (which is served with coffee or tea), cakes and tarts at affordable prices on orders. We are surprised to see how the cakes sales have grown the past month. It seems that there is also a great need for freshly baked confectionary as well.

02Hot Cross Buns for Easter

For the first time in the history of the community of Onseepkans, they have a bakery who can supply them with freshly baked bread and confectionary.

New Banking Account Details

The bakery now have its own banking account, so all contributions towards Our Daily Bread Project can be deposited into that account with Our Daily Bread as a reference.

Easter

We want to wish all a blessed Easter Season. It is a time of the year when we can contemplate on what our Lord came to do for us on the cross. May each of you experience our Lord’s love and care in a new and special way this Easter season.

May the Lord bless and keep you all,
Gerhard, Elmane and Children
